There is little new about the proven fact that inexperienced drivers are being asked to pay enormous car insurance premiums in Great Britain, however it appears that those living in Northern Ireland are facing the highest quotes in The UK. So high that in many cases it is not possible for 17 to 22 year olds to contemplate driving at all. The Northern Ireland Consumer Council announces that premiums quoted to young drivers inside this age group have risen by 64% in the last year which, in real terms, means that young women could be paying up to £2000 and young men significantly more.
